Current mood: ecstatic

day off
My boss was kind enough to give me today .... and the rest of my life off.  That's right, I've been displaced, redistributed, opportuinaly adjusted, outsourced, or, as the layman say, laid off!

But don't worry. your buddy sam saw it coming from a mile away.  I backed up my hard drive yesterday and had all my stuff ready to go.  I knew today was the last day (due to my awesome skillz of a detective ninja) so I rolled in late just for extra effect.

I got a job interview next week, but I'm kinda thinking of just rollin unemployment style for a little while.  It's cool because they're still going to pay me.

If you want, I know a couple flamers ( no offense anyone) in UT that would just love to stick it to someone. Let me know, your boss might make some new 'friends'

No serisously though I am sorry bud. Hey you never e-mailed me your physical mailing address like I asked you to. areallygoodname@yahoo.com. Good luck with the decisions of what to do next. I am thinking about getting my real-estate licence, since my parents are turning down enough work to put me in upper middle class. K that was an over-exaggeration. I just want people to think I am rich so they will be my friends. Anyhoo.. Boise boise boise. Potatoes and cross country girls. A good like you know...

Hooray for socialist institutions like unemployment pay. See kids, socialism isn't evil.

unemplyment is not a welfare program, it's an insurance program that you pay into while you're working. so there.

It's still a socialist idea whether it's provided by the government or not. By the company taking money from everyone to support those who are out of work it's a socialist idea. Everyone is taxed (or whatever you want to call it)so that no one goes without.

no. It's the same as insurance. You pay for the insurance, and it's there for you to use when you need it. If you don't pay into your benefit, you don't get unemployment. Is car insurance a socialist idea? it operates exactly the same way.

So are you going to move back to the UC? It would be a much cooler place to have Sam back in the valley.
